HOPE

Hope is an anthology intended to help raise awareness of suicide. You can buy it here.

It’s a very worthwhile cause and a great collection too, containing stories by Paul Haines, Karen Lee Field, Pamela Freeman, Rowena Cory Daniells, Alan Baxter, and many others.

Here is a quick interview regarding my story “The Haunted Earth”. It is, technically, a reprint (the story was published a couple of years ago in a fanzine, also called Hope, to raise money for another charity) but it has been tightened and polished and is, I think, better than before.

It’s based on a nightmare that Shane Dix’s son Sam once had as a young boy. And there might be one of my own dreams mixed in there as well. Hard to remember now, as I wrote the first draft of this story in 1993. Anyway, I like it, and I hope you will, too.
